ART & CRAFT, PHYSICAL EDUCATION / MORAL AND SPIRITUAL VALUES / SPEECH AND DRAMA CLASSES ARE CONDUCTED.


Note : *The college authorities will be responsible for awarding the above 450 marks.

YEAR - I

  1. At the end of Part A of the Year - 1 course candidates must enter and sit for each of the subjects of the internal and external examinations of Part A and be assessed/examined in each of the subjects of Part B. Candidates will not ordinarily be promoted to Year - II, unless they fulfill the pass requirements of the examinations. If a Teacher Trainee fails in more than two subjects, she will have to discontinue the course.If a Teacher Trainee fails in two or less than two subjects, she will have to re-appear along with I years and obtain a pass in the subjects they have failed in, before they are awarded the Year - II Certificate.
  2. Part B of the course will be evaluated internally.

YEAR - II

  1. At the end of Part A of the Year - II course candidates will be examined internally and
    externally.
  2. At the end of Part B of the course candidates will be evaluated internally.

TEACHING PRACTICE

  1. It is desirable that all students should have a minimum of eight weeks teaching practice
    during their training, out of which there should be a total of three weeks teaching of not
    less than one week at a time.
  2. At least 50 lessons should be given before the College authorities or their delegates.
  3. The views of persons delegated to supervise the lessons should be taken into
    consideration in the internal assessment.

CONDITIONS FOR THE AWARD OF CERTIFICATES

  1. At the end of the Year - II course, candidates must enter and sit for each of the subjects
    of the internal and external examinations of Part A and be assessed/examined in each of
    the subjects of Part B.
  2. Certificates will be awarded to candidates who obtain
    (a) A pass (40%) in each of the subjects of Part A (Year - II and Part B (Year - II)
    examinations;
    (b) 40% in the Class Teaching Practice Assessment;
    (c) A certain minimum aggregate 40% in the subjects to be examined practically, namely. Records etc.; Art and Craft; Socially Useful Productive Work & Community Service; Speech Training, and Physical Education;
    (d) An overall aggregate of at least 40% of the total marks in the whole examination.
